What is a GSM FWT?
A GSM FWT (Fixed Wireless Terminal) is in simple terms a mobile phone appliance that when attached to a EPABX system will enable you to make calls from your epabx system using a mobile network. By putting an Unlimited or Capped Call Plan SIM card into the GSM FWT and programming the EPABX to direct outbound calls via the GSM FWT, huge amount can be saved. Anyone who gets their landline phone bill will see that any calls made to a mobile number are the most expensive. Mobile numbers have high call rates and it is easy to run up a big telephone bill if you make them regularly. If you want to make calls to a mobile phone number it is often the mobile operators that offer the better deals, not the fixed wire line operators.
You can very well interface Centrex EPABX with GSM FWT. You need not to worry to inform your staff about which line they select to dial any mobile number, simply switch on the LCR (least cost routing) feature in Centrex epabx systems, it handle the all.
The FCT can route incoming and out going calls via the mobile telephone network, providing a cost effective alternative for fixed-to-mobile or mobile-to-fixed telephone calls. Not only do you save in landline-to-GSM charges, but you can also exploit GSM features in your landline environment.
